Special Journal Issue
Beyond the Public/Private Divide:
New Perspectives on Sexuality, Rituals, Hospitality, and Diplomacy within Royal Spaces
For publication in June 2022
The special edition, Beyond the Public/Private Divide: New Approach to Sexuality, Rituals, Hospitality, and Diplomacy within Royal Spaces, will consist of interdisciplinary contributions relating to royal studies that are guided by one central question: how do sexuality, rituals, hospitality, and diplomacy intersect with notions of privacy? Therefore, we are seeking proposals that directly address the key themes of the special edition within all aspects of royal studies. While we welcome proposals that focus on early modern Europe, the editors are also particularly interested in proposals of royal studies that deal with the medieval or modern period, as well as non-European perspectives, and LGBTQ research from all periods.
Proposals should be max 500 words and include a short bio. Deadline for proposals is 31 January 2021. Submit your proposals to email@example.com. For further queries, please email Dr Dustin Neighbors (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Dr Lars Cyril Nørgaard (email@example.com).
