Call: Expressions of Interest for Editorial Team (Deadline: 15 June 2023)

Call for Expressions of Interest for Editorial Team

Deadline: 15 June 2023

Volume editors needed for proposed six-volume Cultural History of Monarchy for Bloombury’s Cultural History series.

This six-volume series will cover the cultural history of monarchy in a global sense from antiquity to the present day. Following the template for the series the volumes will be divided roughly into the following categories (although the editorial team can adjust this slightly by agreement with the publisher: Antiquity (to 400), the Middle Ages (400-1400), The Renaissance/Early Modern Period (1400-1700), the Age of Enlightenment/Long 18th century (1700-1800), the Age of Empire/Long 19th century (1800-1900), the Modern Era (1900-present). Each of the volumes will follow the same thematic structure—the editorial team will work together to decide the thematic framework for the volumes.

The editors will each be responsible for editing or co-editing a volume and may also decide to author or co-author one of the chapters. If you are interested in joining the editorial team, please send an expression of interest, with a CV and an indication of which volume you would like to edit to Elena (Ellie) Woodacre, the General Editor at Ellie.Woodacre@winchester.ac.uk before 15 June 2023. Any queries about the series from potential editors or contributors can be sent to the General Editor at the same email address.
